RCW (Reset Configuration Word)

This is a set bytes that is read by the LS1043 CPU at startup, to configure clocks, active hardware blocks and pin multiplexing options. You can see a read out from u-boot or EFI:

Reset Configuration Word (RCW):
       00000000: 08100010 0a000000 00000000 00000000
       00000010: 14550002 00804012 e0025000 c1002000
       00000020: 00000000 00000000 00000000 00038800
       00000030: 00000000 00001100 00000096 00000001

A set of pins denoted cfg_rcw_src[0:8] (shared with IFC_AD[8:15] and IFC_CLE) decide which media the CPU reads the RCW from, such as NAND flash or SD/MMC.

For NAND and SD/MMC, u-boot will compile the RCW into the u-boot image.

IFC

Integrated Flash Controller, which is used to interface with the NAND flash.
